Stand Up Kneeboarding...

We were fortunate to have one very particularly lovely late afternoon swim.  Katy and I had just walked (Mama) / biked (Katy) up one side of the lake and back, working up a bit of sweat, so the cool water felt lovely!

Katy had heard about Stand Up Paddleboarding so thought she would give it a try on the kneeboard!  She was actually pretty good at maneouvering around on it!

I loved getting into the "swim" of things!  It sure beats being sick in bed, working hunched over a laptop, or passed out with mega naps from exhaustion, which has often been my cabin daze in the past!

The Good Life

The kids love going to the garden with Grandma and Grandpa.
This trip was to dig up some potatoes.  The garden has not been very productive this year, but it's still fun for the kids and grandparents!

Katy loves sour things and really likes eating crabapples off the tree.  Ellie enjoyed them too!
These were the most beautiful looking crabapples ever!
Who knew a small vegetable garden could be so much fun?
The garden actually belongs to Troy Scatterella.  I guess Grandma and Grandpa are kind of Troy's sharecroppers!  Or serfs...
Either way, grazie Grandpa Troy! Your garden gives a lot of Krauels a lot of pleasure!

Papa's posse

Another grandparent round trip to the Landing with the kids.

No Labor Day Weekend

After a very busy summer, we all headed up to the Cabin for some tranquil downtime.

All except Katy, who did not stop being busy and busy and happy and having fun with her cousins.  The three of them were thick as thieves and just had so much fun!  It was a giggle fest and fountain of joy.
Noah was such a sweetie asking Uncle Rick to play legos with him.

Katy discovered the joys of cleaning fish with Uncle Ryan and Ellie.

The kids did not stop playing the whole time.  Especially Ellie and Katy, who were wonder twin powers and joined at the hip.  The girls loved setting up a No Boys Allowed clubhouse (thanks Auntie Heather).  Of course, when asked, many exceptions were added - No Boys Allowed Except Noah...and Dada!

After exhausting Uncle Ricky, Noah moved next door and asked me to play lego with him too!  I was delighted.  I have to get one of these sets for Christmas I think!  It was super fun!

How much fun and noise can three little Munchkins make on a swing?  Plenty!

Of course, there was plenty of fun on the water too.

The kids played a lot of make believe.  Pirates on the Pontoon was a popular game!

Feeling a little less blue

How much fun can milk food colouring detergent and a q tip have?

Fun enough to let Mama go to her meeting with a hug and very small smile.

Oh dear

Too much of a shock? Dropping Katy off this morning at Chinese Science Class, I was not prepared for the sudden and intense manifestation of tears and separation anxiety. So delay 9.15 meeting and mama is sitting in the back of the classroom learning Chinese science!
