Our deck and front lawn were covered in a pillowy doona of fluffly looking pure white snow that glistened and sparkled like Liberace.
We woke to a two hour delayed start for school and by 9am, school was cancelled. It was a gloriously beautiful clear winter day and not too cold at all, but the huge snowfall had paralysed the roads and school transport was not working.
Dada had fun clearing the driveway with the hugest plume of snow from his state of the art snow blower.
Katy tried to help but the shovel was bigger than her!
And Mama really enjoyed her first experience of shovelling snow. You can teach an old dog new tricks apparently! What a great workout! (Of course I can say this because I am fortunate to have a husband who usually always does it, so it's not a chore for me, just fun exercise!)
Sledding was fun but hard work sloughing through the Katy-chest-high snow to get back up the hill.
