Ski school

Minnesota Life Lesson #287 - President's Day Weekend is the busiest weekend of the ski school season!  We only managed to squeeze Katy into one two hour class on Sunday afternoon.  And it was a zoo compared to last year!  Luckily there were huge snowbanks to play in while waiting for class...
There really was a lot of snow as this photo of Katy outside the ski school window shows.

Katy is now working on parallel turns and had great fun with a teenaged instructor called Charlie.  That's what we like about Lutsen - they employ lots of the local high schoolers, which we thought at first would mean not great instruction, but actually, they are really good teachers, very patient, and the little kids love them!  Katy was not at all interested in getting to know the veteran instructor, Mike, who has been teaching for over 15 years...

Anyway the life lesson is to book early for ski lessons on President's Day Weekend!
