A quiet day with Nana and Papa

Katy was thrilled when Nana and Papa agreed to stay an extra day with us!  The roads were still pretty slippery and Nana and Papa were still pretty tired from their huge drive back to Minnesota from Memphis, so it worked out pretty well all around.

After Mass, we visited the Arboretum to see the fairy displays, which were a little disappointing after the magnificent Tonkadale ones.
Katy was very tired and needed a little snack so tried an apple dumpling for the first time...she reminded us of when she was a baby and would open her mouth wide and say "ah, ah, ah" like a baby walrus wanting to be fed.
Once home, we tried to get Katy to do some homework...which seemed to require the help of Nana, Papa, Dada AND Mama!  First grade maths is really hard and it's even harder when you have to capture the fidgety, escaping first grader to get the homework done!
