A magical tale of
sharp-eyed friends [1]
Once
upon a time, there was a little honeybee fairy princess whose
name was Rose [3]. She lived in an
enchanted land of milk and honey with her Mama, the Queen of the Cuckoo birds [4], and her fast-walking, wise-cracking,
cheerful Dada [18].
One
fine Christmas morning [17], when the snow was already melting and Spring was on its way [15],
the Honeybee Princess Rose decided to visit her playmates [12], Mary [8] and Musette [19]. Mary and Musette lived across the bridge [7] in France [6].
The
three girls loved to play on the swings and were swinging together back and
forth and back and forth repeatedly [14] when their
friend, Ali Baba came running up the hill stammering “to-to-to tell
Aunt Rhody, to-to-to tell Aunty Rhody” [9].
“Are
you okay Ali Baba? What do you
want to tell Aunt Rhody?” asked Musette curiously.
“We
need to tell her that I’ve found a secret map for a fabulous treasure of
emeralds, rubies and diamonds hidden underneath a mysterious castle made of
magical singing sand in the Land of Arabia [13]. The map is very very old and the
treasure was buried long long ago [11], but I think I
know how to find the magic singing sandcastle. Can you help me decipher the clues and come with me to find
the treasure?” asked Ali Baba.
The
girls quickly got permission from Aunt Rhody, packed some sandwiches, and the four children
quietly and stealthily walked down to the harbour to find a boat [1]. They wanted their quest to be secret so
they had to row silently and lightly across the sea to Arabia [5].
By
the time they arrived, it was night-time.
The map was written in magic ink that would only appear if the
map-reader sang a beautiful song about miso soup and ice dance lifts during a full
moon [10].
Moving
with purpose but not too quickly for fear of alerting
others to the location of the treasure [16], the friends followed the map to a
beautiful shimmering castle made of pink sand. They dug and dug under the castle until they found a huge
treasure chest filled with emerald, ruby and diamond tiaras, necklaces, rings,
bracelets and anklets.
Exhausted
but elated, the friends cheered and celebrated by dancing a Highland jig [2:1].
THE END!
Brava Katy!
