A man on the ice

First fish caught through the ice in front of our new house!  Dada is pleased to report walleyes living just in front.  This was Rick's second time out ice fishing this season and at our new house.  He went with our strong neighbours across the road and their little girl, Lexi, who is five and was thrilled to walk on ice for the first time in her life (!) and go ice fishing for the first time too. 

It's been a learning process for Rick about the logistics of getting set up (remember, we have 83 steps down to the lake) and a fitness journey all at the same time!

The first time, Katy went with Dada and almost caught a fish.  They'd taken about 3 hours to get set up for half an hour's fishing.  But they met a lot of chatty neighbours in the process.
