Tea Party

Katy usually spends weekend mornings planning elaborate brunches on the beach or tea parties at home.  This time, she insisted that we all take part.  She is getting quite adept at setting up her gilt-edged rose tea set and prepping for a party.

The inspiration for this party was the beautiful strawberries Auntie Tiffany delivered on Friday - Katy took Tia and Naan down to the Plaza to buy fancy squirt cream, and they made pancakes.  We did raise our eyebrows when we saw the garnish of sliced carrots and celery.  But hey, when in Lishui...

The tea party had to be postponed briefly so we could have lunch, but even that was fancified with some decorative candles.

Finally with lunch eaten and cleared away, we could start our tea party.  We had to put on our fancy outfits...
The tea was so delicious that Katy finished it off by the spout!  Hmmm, not quite like a princess that way!
