The main focus of afternoon tea at Disneyland Hotel is of course meeting Mickey and the Gang. Katy is loving Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at the moment, so it makes it all the more special. Mickey actually came up to us this time and let us know (in his magic mouse way) that he recognised Katy from our last visit there in May for Katy's birthday.
We really love spending the afternoon at Disneyland Hotel - the kids love it, we have a great time, we enjoy the food, the characters are wonderful, and it's just a happy happy afternoon all round. We just love watching how thrilled the kids are meeting Mickey et al.
It was really special to be able to share this with Kung Kung and Poh Poh before they returned to Darwin.
I don't think I've seen Kung Kung laugh so delightedly as that afternoon.
We all pretty much just sit around grinning the whole time anyways.
Goofy is another favourite! Katy loves watching Goofy Baby on Youtube. You can tell the characters genuinely love kids! They are really animated and expressive, and so very patient!
It was fun to introduce Raphaella to her first Disney characters!
As always, she handled it all with poise and a quiet calm confidence.
It was really fun watching Gabriel this time. Last time, in May, he was a little tentative and uncertain about these large furry creatures. This time, he ran around after Mickey, played with Goofy, and boogied with Pluto.
He really had a ball!
Minnie came over to say that she remembered Gabriel from last time. When Gabriel was a little tentaive, it was Minnie who spent a lot of time giving him gentle high fives from a distance away so as not to alarm him.
Gentle Minnie was adorable as she introduced herself to Raphaella as delicately as possible.
We love Disney. We're really a very Disney family!
We'd love to do the Disney cruise together some day.
