Katy and TY

One of the main reasons for our trip is to spend some time with La Famille Sauboua before we leave Hong Kong.  Yves and Dada are best friends and drink lots of very fine wine together.  Auntie Mo's nephew TY spends a lot of time with them and came with them on this trip to Phuket.  Katy and TY have been playing together since Katy was 1, so they know each other, although they don't get to see each other very often.

They love playing together, and attacked the slide with gusto.

 

Although they do have their moments fighting over the iPad or iPhone, they play very well together and are so cute together holding hands.

 After a while, Katy wanted to play with Mama on the slide though.  Dada couldn't go down the slide as he kept getting wedged.

The slide has a quite steep drop into the pool...

Another nice aspect of having an apartment rather than just a hotel room is that we ordered in for dinner, which is more fun for the kids, and more relaxing for the adults.  The kids ran around like mad monkeys.  Katy put make-up on TY, and the two of them declared they were getting married, practicing doing it the "Thai Way", by bowing, hands in prayer position, and saying "Sawadee Kap" for TY and "Sawadee Ka" for Katy.  They were absolutely hilarious.

 While Ton Ton Yves and Dada shared a cigar on the balcony, the kids fell asleep together - so cute!

Katy was really keen for TY to sleep over, but TY was a little nervous, so he went home with his Gu Jie and Gu Zhang.
