Tennis Anyone?

The Summer holidays look like a great opportunity to try some new things.  We were washed out last week with Typhoon Vicente, but finally had a chance to try out tennis on Monday.  Katy was a bit apprehensive.  She hasn't had a lot of sports classes yet, and when she tried soccer at two, she didn't like it.  But a couple of months of Multisports classes have helped her confidence a lot, even though her worried that she wouldn't be able to hit the ball, because she hadn't been able to when they tried at Multisports.

It was a scorcher!
Katy's swing improved a lot - although she still does like to include a ballet move and spin around at the end sometimes!
She really started to get the hang of it when they learned how to volley.  Getting in a couple of good hits really made her want to hit more balls and started turning her into a tennis fan!
At the end of the lesson Coach Stevo played a game of crocodile with the tennis balls.
Katy loved the lesson and wanted to continue, but we decided the lessons were way too disorganised and the coaches were not really suitable for little kids.  So Katy is looking forward to continuing tennis in Minnesota, when it won't be so darn hot!
