Yesterday we went for our last outing to Casuarina Beach before heading back to HK. We met a lovely family we had met on our previous visit to Casuarina Beach. They are serious sand castle builders and beach visitors, with all the tools required, such as kites and buckets and such. Katy loved the big shovel.
Dada and Katy built a very pretty castle, but a bit too far from the tide, so we couldn't get the moat going. Sebastian was enamoured of Katy, and the two of them were like an old married couple conferring about their adventures and projects.

Sebastian's Mummy, Laurence, and I discovered that we were at St John's College at the same time (although Laurence was a year below me) and we had mutual friends in the Halvorsons - Laurence with one of the younger Halvorson girls, and I with Peter Halvorson, who was in my class at St Paul's - Grade 4 with Mrs Corino - and again at St John's, where we sat next to each other and had more room than the other kids because he's left handed and I'm right handed.
Katy can be such a ham! We take so many pictures of her that she gets a little bit cheeky about posing for pictures!
Casuarina Beach makes our hearts feel super happy! We're going to miss it.
