Katy's 5th Birthday Bowlarama

Birthday Party No. 3 was a bowling party at Club Siena.  Unfortunately, in HK, May is already swelteringly hot.  Katy's fairy party, while beautiful and fun, was a shadow of its planned self because torrential downpours kept us inside for most of the party. (Although the girls did enjoy the magical giant rainbow that appeared as the sun set in DB).

So an indoor party activity is a surer bet!

Katy has never been bowling, but has heard a lot about it.  We added a 1950s theme for more fun.  Genny and Katy wore matching poodle skirts designed by Mama and made by Tia, with little poodles emblazoned on their shirts.  Tia is super talented!

 Surprisingly, the kids all really enjoyed the bowling and kept at it for more than two hours.

Dada made gorgeous bowling cupcakes.  Tia baked the delicious lemon pudding cakes and the yummy chocolate buttermilk cakes.  Dada spent a day and a night making 75 miniature bowling pins out of sugar paste!  Way to go Dada!

 Of course Katy loved the pink buttercream frosting the most!
