Katy's Disney Birthday Tradition

Birthday Party No. 2 for Katy was afternoon tea with Uncle Bert, Auntie Pinky and Gabriel at the Disneyland Hotel, where Mickey, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy dropped in for a visit.  The kids love playing in the giant outdoor maze outside.  It's Katy's third visit there, and the first with Gabriel walking, so Katy put on her Jie Jie Big Sister airs and insisted on carrying Gabriel around.  He's very patient with Katy!

 Katy also likes to be a big girl like Mama and Auntie Pinky.

Auntie Pinky is due on 10th July.  Katy loves hugging and kissing Raphaela inside Auntie Pinky's tummy.

 Gabriel has taken a real shine to Uncle Rick, after being initially a bit scared of him last year.  He is always happy to play "Touchdown Vikings" with Uncle Rick.

 Inside, Gabriel was a little scared of the giant Disney characters.  Katy and Uncle Rick patiently introduced him to Mickey...

 ...Daisy...

Goofy....

...and Pluto!

 The characters themselves were great with Gabriel and obviously have had a lot of experience initiating small children into the circle of giant Disney characters!

Katy of course zeroed in on the strawberry and marshmallow chocolate fondue.

 After tea, we all went upstairs for a dance with the live piano player in the grand lobby.
