We were so happy that Genny could come to visit us again this year. The last time she visited, Genny was almost five and Katy was almost three. Although they don't see each other often, they are the firmest of friends. Katy calls Genny her best friend and her cousin.

We're so happy that Katy has a second family with Tia and a kind of foster sibling in Genny. Being with Genny is great for Katy's Tagalog and also helps to address her lack of a sibling. We also appreciate that we've been able to help Tia's family, and in particular Genny. There are no pools, beaches and pine forests where she lives, and without our help, she would never be able to visit Disneyland or Ocean Park. We hope that giving her all of these experiences at this age will be invaluable for her development in every sense of the word. She is a great big sister "ate" for Katy!
