Kung Kung's Birthday Lunch

We all met up today for Kung Kung's birthday lunch. Katy did not get off to a great start. She puts on big theatrics these days when she is displeased or unamused. I forgot what trifling triggered this off, but she was very entertaining as she emoted her displeasure.
Uncle Bert decided to play along and offered to placate her by showing her what he does to calm Gabriel - lay him on his side and shush him...actually it did work with Katy when she was a baby too. Katy co-operated by pretending to fall asleep.
Meanwhile Gabriel did spend the whole meal fast asleep and very contented in the Baby Bjorn with Auntie Pinky. Something Katy never did...she was too busy looking around and making everyone listen to her opinions, even as a baby!

She was as usual too excited to eat too much, and of course, Poh Poh had to indulge her at the dessert buffet, which Katy loved.



As usual, Katy tried to hug and kiss Gabriel and Auntie Pinky. Luckily Gabriel doesn't mind in the least.
Uncle Bert decided to show Katy around. We had lunch at Bistecca, which is a specialty Steak Joint. They have a butcher theme. Uncle Bert tried to explain to a curious Katy what the meat hooks were for...including using the words "killing a cow", to which Katy asked why they had to kill the cow...to which Uncle Bert changed the subject...
Kung Kung had a great time with the whole family there, although he is still feeling a little under the weather.
