Katy LOVES sugar. She loves chocolate, candy, marshmallows. Anything like that. She really goes a little berserk when she sees something like that. And the thing is that when she eats it, she gets really really happy.
Like this Rocky Road Milkshake, which was yummy, but teeth-numbingly sweet.

The sugar was somewhat diluted by the burgers...

...but then Katy got her promised red velvet Chinese New Year cupcake, which I had used to "motivate" (ie bribe) her into coming over to sit down with everyone. She had plopped herself at a separate table initially and wanted to eat alone.

Katy ate the chocolate bunny on top, and most of the red velvet cake, including the cake itself, which was a surprise as she normally only eats the frosting. Then, Jonathan's Mummy splashed out on some organic lollipops for all the kids. So it was happy times and all smiles...

...BUT with after the sugar high comes the inevitable CRASH!!!
When we got back to the other side, Katy was pretty tired. And she was not impressed that Mama was going to ship her back home to bed, while Mama got to stay in town to do more shopping for Chinese New Year!
So she got into her funk, which involves quite a bit of an emotional rollercoaster and letting Mama know that Katy is not pleased, alternated with huge bouts of remorse and hugs and kisses for Mama. Katy also projects a lot and will say that KATY's "daughter" is being naughty, or that Doo Doo (her imaginary friend) or her "Beast" is doing the undesirable behaviour.

Poor little Katy. Finally, Tia arrived and Katy gave up, giving Mama and Tia huge hugs and admitting she was tired and wanted to go home.
