Happy Anniversary!

Mama and Dada celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary last Thursday. My how time flies. Katy was a little disappointed not to be included in the anniversary lunch that was planned, but still put on a happy face when it was time for the anniversary photos.

Katy was particularly pleased to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting secretly for Mama in the morning from Dada. And they featured red roses in honour of Katy.
Mama and Dada had a lovely treat of lunch at Amber at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental. It was Mama's first time there and I loved it. Very civilised, as I have taken to saying.

We started with their signature amuse bouche - fois gras raspberry toffee apples.

Our favourite dish of the day was Mama's celeriac soup with black truffles.
We really enjoyed the pinot.
And Dada enjoyed the palate cleanser of chocolate covered coconut sorbet.

We ended on a high note with a wonderful cheese platter for Dada and a delicious tarte tatin for Mama. The seasonal vacherin was a highlight.
We took home a bunch of petits fours for the baby. She loved the pink raspberry macarons and we all loved the delicious passionfruit caramels. Katy was delighted with the rice paper used to wrap them.
Waking up to a treat of petits fours sure helped Katy get over being left out of lunch!
