Carving Jack

Katy was very excited and proud to help Dada carve our giant pumpkin this year. The poor girl had been having a difficult morning, like all the three-year-old kids in DB detoxing from their sugar highs the day before. We had carrying on and screaming, but carving the pumpkin with Dada really cheered her up and got her back on an even keel.

This year, being a Princess, Katy did NOT like pulling out the seeds. "Yuk," she said.

But she tried to be really helpful anyway, by holding the pumpkin steady for Daddy.
And this year, Katy did a pretty good job of drawing Jack's face...

And she handled the job of pulling out Jack's eyes with aplomb.
