I'm still having problems with Blogger so apologies! Finally got our Easter egg hunt photos up. Dada had a great time colouring the most beautiful Easter eggs. Much to his chagrin, there were no white eggs to be found in Darwin (he innocently asked one shop assistant if people were rascist in Darwin). (Australians don't really colour eggs or have egg hunts - we usually just hide or even just exchange chocolate eggs and figurines). So he experimented with brown eggs, and they turned out a beautiful deep colour. What would we do without the Internet???
We had a lot of fun "hiding" the eggs for Katy. Poh Poh had bought her a tonne of chocolate eggs and bunnies, so there was a LOT for one little almost three year old to find!
It was hilarious seeing Katy find her Easter basket, with the note from the Easter Bunny and the half eaten carrot. Then to see her figure out the Easter egg hunt...she literally skipped, jigged and jumped for joy. Everyone got into the spirit - Kung Kung gave her little hints for the more hidden eggs, Auntie Pinky helped her stash her treasures, Uncle Bert lifted her up when she needed a boost, and Poh Poh cheered Katy on. It was a lot of fun for everyone, not just Katy!
