This was Katy's first ever Trick or Treat house! In Discovery Bay, one of the streets, Headland Drive, is closed to traffic on Halloween and most of the houses get dressed up in very elaborate decorations.

Katy was really quiet and wide-eyed just taking it all in. We're not quite sure what she made of the whole day's activities and the evening's festivities. She usually loves lots of action and kids running around.

The whole of DB comes out to parade down the street with the kids trick or treating and admiring the ghoulish decore. We bumped into Ellie The Ladybug and Callum the Baby Dracula...

...and the neighbour boy and friends dressed up in fantastic ghostbuster outfits they had made themselves...

Katy got the fright of her life literally when we went to visit this witch in the middle of Headland Drive. Luckily Daddy was holding her, because as we got closer and the witch turned around with her long nose and frightening mask, Katy screamed, jumped up and threw herself around Daddy's neck and hung on for dear life. It took a long time for her to let go! Poor Katy.

But she eventually recovered. I think Katy's favourite thing was handing out treats to all the children dressed up around us.

It was definitely Daddy's favourite thing too!

Daddy was a huge hit with everyone. And Mummy and Katy were very proud and appreciative that Daddy took the time to come home early and trick or treat with us. It really made Halloween for us. We had such a wonderful family afternoon and evening. Definitely one of life's cherished moments!

Happy Halloween everyone!

By 6.30pm we were hurrying home with one tired little fairy...

Happy Halloween Darling. We can't wait to take you out again next year. You will have SO much fun with all your friends!
